Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($194) VP;23/PFR:19/AF:2.9 (3.2,2.6,2.5)/WTSD:28/Raise CBet flop:15%
BB ($100)

UTG ($100) Form UTG: PFR:14%/Fold to 3B OOP from EP:69%/ AF:3 (3.4,2.8,2.5)/ WTSD:28/CBet flop:66%
Reads:
OOP donk on 66T I call and he gives up
BU vs sb w A9o no cbet on K66

CO ($62.50)
Hero ($100)

Dealt to Hero A♥ A♣

UTG raises to $3.50, fold, Hero calls $3.50, fold, BB calls $2.50

FLOP ($11) 8♥ 5♣ 3♠

BB checks, UTG bets $8, Hero raises to $17, BB raises to $96.50 (AI), UTG calls $88.50 (AI), Hero folds

TURN ($221) 8♥ 5♣ 3♠ 6♥

RIVER ($221) 8♥ 5♣ 3♠ 6♥ J♦

Villains are 2 regs.

UTG has a slightly high Fold to 3B from EP so I just flat - not sure tbh I am thinking more and more to 3B always my AA and KK vs EP.

I think flatting the CBet here is best. But I do this sometimes bc I don't rep anything and sometimes get some levelling.

To me SB shoving range is 100% sets eventhough at first I thought it didnt make sense it could do since he is OOP. i.e if he flats and UTG flats it migh go Ck,Ck,Ck on turn.

UTG could have overpairs (QQ+) I guess.

What do you do? Easy fold?

This hand is played perfectly imo.

Your stats would be useful just so we know how people are going to perceive you.

BB's range is pretty much just small PP's so we are up against a set here sooooo often and utg's jam just seals the deal!

How does UTG play on turns? does he overvalue overpairs? This would help me decide if I raise flop or not. Like if we had a read that hes a big station on rivers, Calling flop and turn and jamming good rivers would be nice.

This is also why your stats are super important, as for me, im 100% getting action from 99+ here and they are playing for stacks

my pre flop stats are from BU: 3B vs EP:4%, call open :9%
WTSD:27/ AF: (4.3,2.4,2.2)/ Raise CBet:17%/Fold CBet:48%

No specific reads on UTG.

Would you call BB's shove if you are utg w big pair?

wp.

Expect button to have a set here around 101% of the time.

You mean BB I guess
What do you think about my Raise on flop? Would you do this with AK?

i quite like, call, call, jam river with the recent development in dynamics at mid stakes NL6max, as most one pair hands call now and we can induce multiple barrel bluffs from villain.

Also we are raising a really polarised range here (basically all value) which is sets/aa.

Yeah I think I like more the Call, call jam line too.

Obviously I kind of know that lying down AA is standart here but I wanna discuss BB's line.
He didn't have a set here but 67s and I really liked his play since we put him always on a set here and decent reg should fold overpairs (well UTG called w KK but still).

Now to go one step further what if we do this with any hand that we called pre in BB such as SCs and PP. I kind of like the move

I do't like the move because we cant expect random 100nl regs to just fold overpairs and in this case there is 2 opponents and a good to very good chance both have overpairs and we don't make moniez in pokers by getting SSNL regs to fold aces

hehe yeah I agree. UTG that seems to be a decent reg isnt folding.
What about this move on higher limits where they know how to fold AA and KK?

Agree, on NL100 it is probably -EV.
On higher limits it might be +EV, but it mostly depends on the opponents, not the limit.
In general I don't like the plan of calling preflop with the intention to make a move for a stack postflop OOP vs 2regs too much...

We've just said on 100nl that regs wont hero fold as much as higher stakes so surely its a decent reason if they are always stacking off with overpairs on these boards?

Ah, I didn't consider it from an implied-odds perspective.
Still I don't like it that much because I think there's a huge difference between paired boards and unpaired ones: on a paired board people are much more afraid of trips (rightfully so).
At the same time even if we get it in with 2pair we're getting it in good, but we still "only" have 75%.
I'd have to do the exact math to figure out wether the call pre would be +EV, but my guess is that if it is, it's very marginal (and tends to be -EV).

It also allows us to be balanced vs these regs and have bluffs in our "clicking it back" range and in our calling range pre (meaning we don't get squeezed often too)
