IPoker, $1 Buy-in (200/400 blinds) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 3 Players

SB: 2,785 (7 bb)
BB: 6,865 (17.2 bb)
Hero (BTN): 5,350 (13.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 6 6
2 folds

Results: 400 pot
BB mucked and won 400 (200 net)

Is folding good play in this spot, knowing that BB is kind of a calling station, so a raise would mean a difficult postflop most of the time?

And overall is it profitable to play 66 in the same situation, but against a TAG BB?

Hi all,

This is almost always a minraise. If BB is particularly loose, just go all-in preflop.
