E250+25, 100 players, 9 players ITM.

16 players left, 3 shortstacks with less then 5 bb.
im middle stacked and there is only one shorty at our table.

the shorty pushes from UTG2 with 5.9 bb left and the hand is folded to me in the SB, i find QQ...
BB is an over agressive player who had me covered. a normall raise would make me almost commited. i have a fairly tight image and i have won some blinds in the orbit before. 2 rounds before i did put the bigstack to the test when i went allin on the turn when HE was the original raiser.

what to do?
the options offcourse:
-fold and let the BB handle it. he would have called with ATC.
-call and hope the BB would only call and we could have checked it down, but the BB did bet some hands before on the flop when two players were up against one allin from the same shorty. with that bet he chased out the outer allincaller and with that the shorty won.
-raise but that would have been for about 1/5 of my stack. and would certanly
not have scared the BB away.
-allin for maximum protection of my hand.

what would have been the best play...give extra notice that this is a expensive tournament and that im almost ITM

as i judged in the other thread:

easy push as otherwise BB can shove a wide(r) range of hands to exploit you, as he has you covered. besides, if he pushes over your call, you are still calling with QQ, and all you're doing is giving him a chance to get in cheaply to the flop with a weak hand (KQ, AJ, AQ) and suck out on you

and i'll probably fix that by adding other high Ks, suited Qs and Ax to that list.

i know that a push at whit this hand at this spot is +ev, BUT my main question is... should i play this hand? why risk getting knocked out the tournament (the risk is small but still is there) just so close to the money?
i had enough chips to lean back and wait till im ITM. especially with these stacks i dont mind getting at least my money back. and after reaching the money i can get back to play poker. just some thought. this is it wich i would like to talk about. this was my first +E200 tour and i want and will play more of them.

b/c it's a premium spot to pick up chips.

but for a really good answer i'd need to know the payout structures. if it's really really steep towards the top (as it should be), pushing is the optimal line.

only if it's quite shallow, with a nice small increase between positions, i'd consider folding. but only for like .001s, and then i'd shove anyway.

Then dont play with scared money, stick to BRM!!!

This is a clear push, if you dont want to lose, then winning will be hard. You shouldnt care so much about the bubble.

I can't agree more. I was in the exact same position, but i Lost when i pushed all in with my QQ's..

But its like the only chance you have to actually stay alive. everyones after the money.

QFT!!!

Don't play BIs, you are afraid of! And don't play satellites to tourneys you will be afraid of playing!

To answer the hand I would need stacks, but the only question is if you should reraise or push, it is NEVER a question of folding or calling.
