K8o vs. BB 0.5/1

I would check/call. 7 has given you a good draw but has improved his hand as well or could have improved his hand with 89 79 and he could check back a pair but most of the times you are behind and you don't have that much foldequity. I mean it depends. If you think he calls Ax without flushdraw on the Flop or he could be folding a hand like 45 33 66 or something i'd agree on betting.

With specific reads you could bet and it's not that bad either as your equity with one Overcard, second nutlfushdraw and gutshot doesn't need that much foldequity and even if you get raised you just pay an extra amount of 1BB-2*EQ. But i don't think that he's folding a pair on the Turn and if he bets 2 times we are obviously beat so i do check/call and c/f the River.

I also don't think we should bet on the turn. Our equity on the turn goes from outs to diamond cards and nines with kings. And this card on the turn is not a blank, it hits 98, 97, 87 so... We have almost no SD-value and vs unknown can we rely on fold equity? I think it's safer to play c/c turn.

And what will be better on the river in case we improve? Bet or c/r? I mean our line looks so much like drawing and we hit this draw so he will have troubles calling weak hands but actually he can call with some mediocre hands. He will bet small flushes I think so we can trap him by c/r & it's quite a significant part of what he brings to the river so I think c/r is somewhat better.

To be honest: Improving to the flush as well as improving to the straight i would donk out because he'll be cautious with betting his pairs but he will call quite light, suspecting you to bluff or doing an unreasonable play. If the Board gets 4 suited or 4 straight you should rather donk than hoping for him to play bet/call with a pair. Jx with no 2pair he'll check back of course but call a donkbet. If the card is that scary that your opponents bettingrange gets really thin it's always better to take the initiative.
