Isolation raise vs ICM Considerations

Hi guys, not posted one of these before, so apologies if the formatting didn't take.

This was an MTT satellite, 200 places up for grabs. At the time of this hand there were about 300 left and I was about 110th with average chips. So not safe yet.

I had about 18bb in the SB. BB is tight (9/7 over 89 hands). Folds to button who pushes for 4BB. I raise all in to isolate, but tight BB wakes up with QQ.

Was this push to isolate bad in view of ICM considerations? What should I have done?

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $250(BB) Replayer
Hero ($4,605)
BB ($4,475)
UTG ($3,768)

BB shows Q♣ Q♠

BTN shows T♣ 7♥

BB wins $6,836

The shove seems ok to me but if BB is so damn nitty why iso shove from the SB? BB is never gonna call without a monster anyway. Personally i just flat call here and if BB shoves i guess you have to cry and fold. :)

Call 25% of your stack and fold... ;(

Looks like an easy shove here, you're way ahead BTN's range.

Thanks guys.

Normally calling for 25% of stack and then folding would be a very bad move. And if it was a regular tournament then I think the shove is definitely right. But this is a satellite and two thirds of the remaining field go through. So if I had the chance again, I think I would call and then make the crying fold if the button raises which he would have done. I get to keep 75% of my stack and I'm still in the game.

I would prefer a fold here. While AT looks attractive, the simple matter of fact is that the chips we lose are worth more than the chips we win. Because this is a qualifier and not a regular tournament we have to be tighter with our ranges, especially with the chips we already have won. I would fold, not because I would be affraid of the BB, but because I don't want to flip (at best) for a seizable amount of my chips. I would definately call with AJs and AQo.

In qualifiers, where there is one massive bubble, it is important to protect our stack by not getting involved in marginal spots. That is why I would fold here.
