i played this pretty horribly, didn't i? i'm not even sure. i wasn't expecting 22 because he raised me preflop, at least it's not standard for me to raise with 22 - i just call preflop when i set mine.

since i was oop, could i have done something on the turn?
or should i have 3betted the flop?

there, i'm properly confused about this hand.
thanks for helping!

i know!
3Bet the flop and release instantly if he reraised.
if call, raise the turn because the card was not a threat.

this makes sense to me. is it correct play?

I dont like the turn check since you are representing something with your call on the flop and he even cbets 50% of the pot which I would sense as weakness in my play ussually.

Hello MMPokerNab,

Welcome to the English NL Hand Evaluation Forum! Hopefully we will see more hands from you in the future. I hope that with our help you can improve your play and as well move up the limits. We will be waiting for the next hands and till that good luck on tables!

Rather Bet the flop yourself & also turn and protect your hand than Check/Call like this. On the river you beat nothing, easy fold while you haven't invested much into the pot.

Best Regards.
