I guess I could have raised pre-flop, but he might have just folded.
my "steal from SB" is pretty low.
and I do not want to get 3B and then play OOP.
ideally, there would have been a raiser and I could have tagged along.

anyway, I flop the set in the unraised pot and want to get some money in, so I lead out for 1/2P.
should I have gone for 5 or 6 cents on the flop?
on the turn, I lead out again for a little more than 1/2 (5/8, actually)
and get min raised.
I of course want to 3B, but was not sure how much. I figured if he was going to call at all, he'd call more than the min-raise to .30 but was not sure how high to go.

suggestions?

anyway, after he called there, I bet 80% on the river.
I was hoping he would raise again (but not w/ 44!), but I was glad to get called.

was my line pretty good, or could I have extracted more value?

given his hand, he was not likely to call pre-flop if I raised, and I was very lucky he made TPWK and was willing to go quite a way with it.

but could I have gotten more?

he looks like fish. are you sure that he cares?
still 22 really sucks to play out of position. raising or completing depends on how much he folds to cbets imo

with freeplay sets i just lead out for potsize, sometimes pot on turn too :f_biggrin: of course you want to get it in on turn and hope that he has something like twopair.
i wouldn't want to be raised on the river because it's going to mean a flush so often... sometimes he may also show 35 :f_eek:

Hello William340,

Preflop: No way to complete here, rather just raise it up and be happy if you get the pot. If you get 3bet then you can fold unless you get set mining odds. :)

As played
Flop: I'd go even for over-bet here vs draws + Tx hands.

As played
Turn: Most likely still Bet it bigger here as well and maybe even over-bet to protect from draws.

As played
River: Why do you Bet so big? FD completed so I don't really see any reason to commit yourself here, rather make a 1/2 pot size Bet at max.

Best Regards.

:(
so, my bets are small when they need to be big & big when they need to be small.
other than that, I'm good, right?

so much to learn & work on.
which is why I play $4NL.

thanks, veriz.
