Not sure if shoving A3s is the correct play here ITLR. What is our default shoving range at this point. Finishing 3rd grants a retry and 1st and 2nd move up. Finishing 4th gives us a net loss of $6

Hi, Holly,

these re-steal spots depend hugely on who we are facing. They are no default ranges.

As a general rule though- we usually re-steal wider vs regs and tighter vs fishes. Reason for that is because fish tends to r/c a much wider range, therefore we need to mostly push our value range. The gap between the raise/calling range for a reg though, will be much bigger, therefore we can profitably re-steal a lot of semibluffing hands like small pockets, suited aces, a lot of suited kings, mid high suited queens, broadway, suited connectors such as 89s, ATo+.

In this particular hand, I assume villain is a fish(his sizing is not good pre) + we probably don't have FE as his sizing doesn't advocate he's folding to our 10bb shove. So I rather fold and wait for a better spot.

Thanks kurrkabin, on reflection I definitely agree that I should have waited. I almost clicked the fold button too - but I managed to talk myself into the wrong decision :(

deff. possible, same with low pairs, but we need a read that villain steals a lot. Here though, we are facing a guy whos PFR is 8%. Folding is best imo. Not only that he is tight pre, but also the fact that he 3x means imo that our FE postflop is greatly reduced . I think stop n go here is too risky and not worth it given we are 10bb deep.
