1) Yes it is possible to remove a thread. But you can't do it yourself. If you want a thread to be removed you can do 2 things.
a) make a post in the thread that you want your thread to be removed.
b) contact one of the mods.
2) It is possible to close an account yes, but why would you want to close an account? Do you have 2 accounts?
