how is this? can I get away from this? were ITM I am 80/500(something)

opponent is a fair player not getting out of line much, i dont have any stats PT is down..

I called pre, I was getting decent odds, I'm thinking he has a pair 88-KK

I was sure I was good when the A hit, i duno

any help plz...thanks

Why do you think that he only has pocket pairs in this situation?
Why do you think he doesn't have AA or 77?
It's not a perfect world where you can pick a range that suits you best ;)

There is no indicator for the range you mention...
Hands like AQ and AK are absolutely possible and fit his range perfectly.

On the particular flop there is no need to raise. You isolate yourself against hands like AQ and AK. All pockets that you might extract value from will fold after your raise.

I would simply call the flop and evaluate the turn carefully.

As played you have to call the allin because of the potodds. Unfortunately you won't be in front in most cases and be nearly drawing dead quite often.

I guess this is what happens when I play at 3am. In my post I meant to add more to.that range. I understand now though, can I 4 bet this to get him to.fold AQ and small ti med pockets or was the call ok pre flop?

A 4bet would be absolutely overplayed and -EV.
