Party, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 8 Players

BB: $38.43 (153.7 bb)
MP2: $7.28 (29.1 bb)
CO: $38.26 (153 bb) 24/17/5.9/5.7 (95) v/p/3/af (H)
Hero (MP3): $29.46 (117.8 bb)
SB: $12.50 (50 bb)
MP1: $14.51 (58 bb)
UTG+2: $26.23 (104.9 bb)
BTN: $25 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K:d Q:s
3 folds, Hero raises to $1, CO calls $1, 3 folds

Flop: ($2.35) 2:c 5:d 8:c (2 players)
Hero bets $1.12, CO raises to $2.80, Hero calls $1.68

Turn: ($7.95) 9:d (2 players)
Hero bets $5.67, CO folds

This hand happened during a sweat session. The other
people say that the CBet is too small, and therefore looks weak,
inviting the 3Bet.

However, I had been recently told not to bluff too big, since it looks
too much like a bluff.

In any case, after calling the flop 3Bet, I figured I HAD to either bet
the turn large, or get out entirely.

At this table I had folded to a 3Bet once previously, also to a 4Bet
once. I was 24/23/18/1.8 over only 74 hands.

You should bluff with the same sizing you valubet against a somewhat decent villain. On this board where there's plenty of draws I doubt you're ever valubetting this small.

I agree that I might look weak in villains eyes and induce a light raise, but as we dont know that I would just fold the flop as you dont have any backdoor equity, just 2 overcards.

I dont understand why are you donking the turn, what are you trying to rep here? I think you're not slowplaying sets on the flop. I think the only valuhands you can have on the turn are 67 and 98 which I preffer ch/shoving, the donking.

Hello VorpalF2F,

Your play doesn't really make much of sense, neither the CB size nor I don't understand the Call on the flop or donk the turn. You are not playing strong made hands this way, so what are you representing?

We have to already ask on the flop how much fold equity we have vs such a guy, cause if he is rather floater type of guy without even having any backdoor equity it might be better to Check/Fold it right away.

Best Regards.
