Prima, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 5 Players

BTN: $102.29 (204.6 bb)
SB: $70.29 (140.6 bb)
BB: $73.28 (146.6 bb)
Hero (MP): $51.50 (103 bb)
CO: $44.97 (89.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K A
Hero raises to $1.50, CO folds, BTN calls $1.50, 2 folds

Flop: ($3.75) 5 A T (2 players)
Hero bets $2.50, BTN raises to $7.50, Hero ???

Anon table.

BTN played 25/21 after 25 hands, AFq 100 so far.

What is this raise? 55/TT/AT/A5s? Based on his stats he seemed decent so far, but can I start a bluffcatch line here oop, and hope he shows up with some bluff like K:cQ:c, or worse valuehands like AQ/AJ?

My other problem was that he is quite unknown yet, so if I call this flop, I cant really fold to a bet on a blank turn/river, cause why did I call on the flop then? His turn bet wont tell me more about that if he is bluffing, or playing some valuehands a weird way like that...

Hello pcfmcc02,

AQ/AJ would clearly turning his hand into bluff if it's raising here, so I doubt that he is doing that. Whilst it's rather dry board I'd be more often willing to Bet/Fold it here instead than going for a Call. Going broke would obviously overvaluing our hand. Only thing we could consider is playing it way ahead/behind to keep also his bluffs in the pot.

Best Regards.
