Our hand is decent. I prefer to raise even against this player. Most of the time limp/stab is better against that type opponents, but with all pockets I would raise him. We got some fold equity witch is fine. The small pockets don't have good playability post flop so its better to take the pot preflop.

Raise pf is ok since you can take the pot right there. With 22 you are really not in great shape post flop so most times you will look to finish hand there. Since opponent is calling station it will be difficult to take him off anything plus we are not in great shape when flop comes.
I like your play, raise pf and c bet on flop then give up. I dare to say that limp stab might be better option to save chips and still try to take a pot there. Overall against this opponent you want to open your value range and bet it strong because he will pay you off majority of time.
If we raise then pot will be bigger on the flop. So we will get more value when we hit + we could still cb and take the pot down or just give up. Not hard hand to play :).
