I should be betting the turn i think, but if i do then all hands are folding, and also i can't tell if he's slow playing a bigger hand. By checking the turn back an him checking the river it's obvious what he has rather then confusin myself with the turn bet.

COrrect play? give me your thoughts!

Hey,

First of all, since he is a reg, preflop might be a 3bet/5bet if he is wide enough from SB. He needs to 4bet quite often and fold to 5bet but these small pairs are the best hands if you want to create such a range. Calling is definitely fine but 3betting is something to consider if the dynamics are right.

I think calling flop if OK if you know his barreling tendencies. If he is a one and done sort of regular floating is fine. If he barrels I actually prefer folding unless you know his barrels are very air heavy. Even when you consider him air heavy I think 44 is not that great to bluffcatch and think a hand such as 77 would be better. 77 has a lower chance of getting outdrawn, while with 44, villain can turn 5x into a bluff so he ends up bluffing with the best hand.

River I would not value bet. Villain can still have a midpair that never folds and I doubt he calls anything besides some AT and AK. It just feels like you value own yourself too often here when you bet.I would take the free showdown.
