Full Tilt, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

Hero (BTN): $50 (100 bb)
SB: $54.80 (109.6 bb)
BB: $58.25 (116.5 bb)
UTG: $151.85 (303.7 bb)
MP: $50.75 (101.5 bb)
CO: $88.70 (177.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with K K
UTG folds, MP raises to $1.75, CO folds, Hero raises to $5.25, SB folds, BB calls $4.75, MP folds

Flop: ($12.50) T J 6 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $7, BB calls $7

Turn: ($26.50) A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: ($26.50) A (2 players)
BB bets $17.50, Hero calls $17.50

Villain-unknown.
Hard to asses unknowns cold calling range here.
I bet the flop for value.
Dont' see much value in betting the turn.
The A river makes it less likely for him to have an A. After my turn check should I call this large river bet?

Hi.

This is an interesting spot. While my first instinct is to call, I actually think this should be a fold but I could be wrong.

What's his 3b cold calling range? Answer this question, then tell me what hands he is calling the Flop with. Pokerstove your equity, and compare this with your pot odds of 17.5/61.5 = 28.4%.

I'll check your workings

Well, as I said he is unknown.
But lets say his preflop cold calling range is 99+,AQ+.
On the flop he could call with TT+,AQ+. He could also c/r QQ (6 combos), KK (1 combo), AA (6combos). But lets say he just calls. He checks this turn with his whole flop calling range. He then bets the river with TT,JJ,AA, AQ,AK.
Hmmm...
Board: JhTc6dAsAd
Equity Win Tie
MP2 100.00% 100.00% 0.00% { AA, JJ-TT, AQs+, AQo+ }
MP3 0.00% 0.00% 0.00% { KdKs }

Clear fold if this is the case...
Your thoughts?

Against unknown we can't really give him a much wider range than what you just gave him so the river is definitely much closer to a fold than a call.

We can't assume he floats flop with 88-99 (if he even has those) and then he'd rarely bluff the river with them.

So TT, JJ would most likely slowplay, and he has a few Ax that can still call flop like AQs, AKs. All of these would bet river.
