UTG+1: 1,830
Hero (UTG+2): 1,760

SB posts SB 15, BB posts BB 30

Pre Flop: (pot: 45) Hero has 8♠ 8♥

fold, fold, Hero calls 30, fold, fold, fold, BTN calls 30, SB raises to 120, fold, Hero raises to 1,760 and is all-in, fold, SB calls 1,640

Flop: (3,580, 2 players) K♣ 9♥ 9♦

Turn: (3,580, 2 players) 7♣

River: (3,580, 2 players) 6♥

SB shows A♥ A♦ (Two Pair, Aces and Nines) (Pre 80%, Flop 92%, Turn 95%)
Hero shows 8♠ 8♥ (Two Pair, Nines and Eights) (Pre 20%, Flop 8%, Turn 5%)
SB wins 3,580

Too aggressive? I'm usually pretty happy to shove a pocket pair vs. two overcards (AA here, but sh*t happens, he might just as well have had Ax or broadway, its micro limits after all..) in general.

fold/call/raise/shove after re-raise? (Am I ahead at all?)

I'm not very comfortable with postflop play when I dont hit the flop hard, especially middle pocket pairs give me trouble (TT-77) when I don't hit a set.

/regards

Hi all,

You need to escape the mentality of putting people on high cards or whatever. They can just as easily have a pocketpair.

Raise to 90 to start with preflop. As played once you've limped you should call the raise rather than reraising. Once you limp/call, you will not encounter problems when you miss your set, because you will fold when you do not hit a set.
