I didnt post hands regulary before because I thought i dont need it, I was growing my bankroll fast on 0.1/0.2, and when I started to play 0.25/0.5, in the begining I had an upswing and i was feeling good about my game, but now it's about 10 days of loosing, I didnt lost much, but this showed me that I really need to improve my game :)

2 AA situations:

1.
Button ($26.98)
SB ($20.38)
BB ($17.50)
UTG ($13.95)
UTG+1 UTG+1 ($14.75)
MP MP ($7.67)
MP Hero ($13.07)
CO-1 ($5.45)
CO ($5)

Preflop: Hero is in MP with A♥ A♣
1 fold, UTG+1 calls 0.25, MP raises to 0.50, Hero raises to 0.75, 5 folds, UTG+1 calls 0.50, MP calls 0.25.

Flop (2.60) 6♦ 6♥ 5♥
UTG+1 checks, MP bets 0.25, Hero raises to 0.50, 1 fold, MP raises to 0.75, Hero raises to 1, MP calls 0.25.

Turn (5.35) 2♠
MP bets 0.50, Hero raises to 1, MP raises to 1.50, Hero calls 0.50.

River (8.85) T♥
MP bets 0.50, Hero calls 0.50

After opponent 3-bet on the flop i thought that he have overpair 88-JJ. Now when i look at this hand again i would give wider hand range to my opponent, 55-JJ. Am i thinking correctly?
So was this hand played correctly?

2.

BB ($15.24)
UTG ($4.56)
UTG+1 UTG+1 ($6.14)

Preflop: Hero is in MP with A♣ A♠
1 fold, UTG+1 calls 0.25, Hero raises to 0.50, 5 folds, SB calls 0.40, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls 0.25.

Flop (1.75) 8♦ K♥ 8♥
SB checks, UTG+1 bets 0.25, Hero raises to 0.50, 1 fold, UTG+1 raises to 0.75, Hero calls 0.25.

Hi kerberis,

it's always a good sigh to notice on your own when something isn't going in your way. so I guess "Better late than never!" fits here very well.

Welcome to our sample hand forum. I hope you have a good time here and that you improve your game fast. :)

You might have a look at this hand converter:

http://www.neildewhurst.com/hand-converter/

The registration is for free but it highlights the bet and raises so the hands are easier to read and rediuces reading errors on our side. :)

You may as well use our tracking programm the Elephant which is able to convert hand including stats as well:

http://www.pokerstrategy.com/software/9/

If you play at PartyPoker you can use our hand converter as well:

http://www.pokerstrategy.com/software/4/

Alright let's start with your hands. :)

1) After the 3-bet of MP you two are HU so it's better to just call his 3-bet and raise his turnbet again. This get you more money in the pot on average as your opponent often just check to you on the turn if you capped the flop.
If you get 3-bet on the turn the calling down is the best you can do as you are often behind now but folding is no option in such a big pot (you might be bluffed or you are playing against a very aggressive player etc.)
If you want to define his range you should always start with his preflop range. After that you remove unreasonable hands from his range.
As he doesn't cap preflop AA and KK can be removed. If he is a normal TAG his range should be around 77+, A9s+, KJs+, QJs, ATo+, KQo.
After his flop 3-bet all unsuited overcards can be removed. I would remove some suited ones as well but not all as he can 3-bet with a flushdraw. All pocketpairs are staying in as well.
To make it easier let's say his range is now 77+, ATs+.
On the turn you get 3-bet so ATs+ has to be removed. He won't do that with all pocketpair too. But now we have to include (as you noticed as well) that 55 and 66 might be possible. His new range would be QQ, JJ, 66 and 55. Often JJ and QQ isn't 3-bet anymore so a calldown sould be best.
If you know him as aggrssive you should cap the turn as TT-QQ is possible now and 66 and 55 is less likely.

2) You played this hand indeed a bit too passive. Capping the flop is as in hand 1) not the best. Calling the flop to the 3-bet and rasing the turn again should be the best line. The reasons are the same as in hand 1). :)
If you get 3-bet you again just call him down. The chances that he now has an eight is way higher as his prefloprange includes many of them.

I play in titan poker. Is it possible with this converter http://www.neildewhurst.com/hand-converter/ to convert hands from titan poker history files? I cant find how to do that :)
I dont use elephant yet because i dont have enough points, as soon as i get 2000 ps points i will use it.

btw in 1 he had 55. In 2 he had J8o, and this was strange

Ohh you are right. For Titanpoker this converter doesn't work as much as I know.
You can test the Elephant fo 3 weeks with all option and the hand coverter feature will work always so maybe you want to try it out.
It's no must use so if this is too time consuming just stay at your current converter. :)
