Hero raises to $0.75, fold, BTN raises to $1.25, fold, BB calls $1.00, Hero calls $0.50

Flop: ($3.85, 3 players) 5♦ 6♣ K♦
BB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $2.25, fold, Hero calls $2.25

Turn: ($8.35, 2 players) 3♠
Hero checks, BTN bets $5.25, fold
Villain looks very fishy 48/21, 3 bet 7 % over small sample 50 hands
my plan was to call once and revaluate turn.
I dont think his ever 2 barrelling whithout stronghand here so i decided to fold my weak kicker is it ok should i call turn and c/f riv ?

Hi,

He is giving you decent odds but your hand will just about never improve meaning you will have a hard time playing river correctly. Folding might seem weak but given the potential for very bad river plays (calling too much or folding too much) I don't mind the turn fold without more info on villain. Over 50 hands we can't say much.. we probably know he is not passive but that makes river that much tougher since draws getting there is bad and draws not getting there is not better (he still vbet KJ+ probably).

One general thing to consider is also stack sizes. Most people don't like shoving all in as a bluff so his river bet should be a shove. Given that it should be a shove that might make him bluff less. Don't take this as a read, just something to think about for some players.
