Hello

mid stage DON villian stats 24/0 17 hands

I was not sure about my bet on the turn as villian had showed an interest in the flop and he had been a loose passive player up to this point.
I was thinking that he was probably trying to catch a draw.
I decided to check back on the river as I felt only a better hand would call me there?

Thanks

Roo

Hello roopopper,

I was not sure about my bet on the turn

I prefer to check there. On the other streets and preflop I like how you played it.

I think it's a great bet, if not an all in bet... Why would you check on such a drawy board? The only hand I would be worried about is a set, AA or AK (unlikely because you have KK)

I'd appreciate it if the judge would give more detail in making his decision.

Hello,

My bad _mad:. I saw that we have a KJ here and we are betting second pair on the turn.

Why would you check on such a drawy board?

Agree. Mandatory bet on this board. Bet to ~650 chips is fine.

On the river I prefer pushing for value. Villain is going to call us with lots of weaker hands - queens, jacks and some other weaker make hands.
