Hands like this are the fking reason i'm break even for so long at micros. Sighh

I know shit happens, but really I feel the past 2 weeks or so there's hardly any progress regarding poker. I know I have improved for sure during this period, but as I get better my luck gets worse and I hate being stuck in such a cycle... fking micros..

fking hitting sets less than 10% of the time and 80% of them are with JJ+

Its like your profit graph has support and resistance. A resistance which can nv be broken through

^^AT THE SAME TIME AT ANOTHER TABLE. WTF. i nv hit sets but others must hit them for fun????

Seriously I don't play to move up stakes once a year. Why the fuck must these happen for so long. It's my longest swing so far it's so frustrating (8000 hands BE, I know it doesn't sound bad but I know I'm a winning player at micros so this is pretty much equivalent to a much worse swing at higher stakes where win rate is lower) thank god I don't plan to be a professional but I really hope to be earning a few thousand/yr by next year to cover my college fees

8k hand break even stretch is nothing. Nothing! Keep playing poker and you will eventually get to a point when you'll be running so bad that you'll wish you had this kind of 8k break even "downswing" instead.

All I can say is this is poker, variance, bad beats happen. Keep your head cool, keep improving, grind it out.

Why have you posted a ton of absolutely standard suckouts in the Learning to Win section?

Moved to Small Talk.

@OP

I wouldn't bother wasting my time posting hand histories like this. It is counter productive and it does not serve any good. Bad beat happens. You need to work on your mindset :)

Take a break for a few days and come back relaxed and refreshed.

its not how we celebrate the good times but how we handle the bad times that defines us as a person

I am hovering around -30-25 under ev buyins over 230k hands which is not even the worst that can happen. If you want to progress you still need to keep moving forward.

Why didn't you just 3bet pre flop with the JJ?
