And I don't see why you want to build such a pot betting 80-90% of pot on flop and turn with just top pair medium kicker/GS on turn, as you are not folding any big draws like his and are not getting called by much worse, while definitely being called by the hands that beat you.

I wanted to make it very expensive for anyone to play their draws, whether they called or not I wanted it to be a mistake. I saw myself ahead with the king, and didn't want any to make the correct play to call me down and chase.

Your big bets narrow his range to more hands that beat you and you don't get rid of draws, you just bloat the pot.

I think you should keep your bets smaller and get value from worse hands while still charging draws.

Just makes more sense to me to keep the pot smaller with a hand like this.

Not sure about the precall... I like 3bet or fold more... The thing is his call here is never strong... so I think caller will fold a ton to a 3bet!

As played I don't like the big betsizing in the protected pot... 6.5bb on the flop should be fine as well!
As played i'm probably checking the turn behind... with sd-value... I'm not sure we should bet for value here again after he calls our big bet!

River is as played an easy call for the odds...
But generally your betsizings are way to big imo, especially in protected pots!

Thanks guys, I will bear it in mind :). Can anyone clarify what he is trying to do on the river here? I just remember laughing when he turned it over. I just don't see what a 10BB bet here is trying to achieve?

His draw didn't hit so he is trying to bluff as he has money invested.

It doesn't make any sense and is far too small a bet though. There's not much point trying to make sense of these really bad bets, as long as you know what they mean. ♦
