Hey,

I like the idea of 3barreling but it just doesn't seem like the best board to do it on. Let's take it step by step, since I have quite a few comments.

1. Preflop, I think your sizing should be bigger -> around 1.80. I know, it's just 1bb extra but it turns into 10bb more or so by the river plus it gives your opponnent worse pot odds immediately.

2. Flop is indeed nice for you, I like the cbet, sizing is also good. 3barreling makes sense since you get double float from middlepairs and A high.

3. Turn is far from the best ofc but it makes him less likely to have an overpair like 99 or 8x with 89. This makes his value/non-folding combos fewer but it doesn't increase our folding equity. It's a tough decision but with your equity and still a good amount of folding equity I think you can go for 3 barrels. One thing I don't like is your sizing. On this board, I think you should bet a bit bigger: you want to look like value and you also want to give him bad odds. I think 4 is a better sizing. It's not too big but the board is getting more coordinated plus you still keep a decent river sizing. It's not a major difference ofc.

4. River goes as planned, you shove and unfortunately get a call. If he didn't call with hands like A high, A3, 55, 77 you cannot be sure whether your bluff to make him fold those hands would be profitable. What you can look at is that he defended Q8s meaning there are probably more 8x combos in his range than initially imagined: A8 to 86s all in his range.
