I'm not sure what I think of the shove on the flop, maybe you could have raise/called the flop to 6-7 BB and shoved the turn?

Let's look at the various situations you could be in after your opponent calls your shove.

Opponent has a set - Opp is a 72.6% favorite
Opponent has one pair (not overpair) - you are 55% favorite
Opponent has two pair - Opp is 65% favorite
Opponent has a higher flush draw (IMO this is very much in his range) - Opp is a 80% favorite

Just looking at these numbers, I'm not sure how much value you gain from shoving the flop. --Usually-- when the opponent calls you will be no more than a 55% favorite. However, this villain made a nice donk call and you didn't hit. Make a note on this player and exploit him in the future

I agree with MisterHomes, its better to raise here, not to push. Raise to ~8-9BB and call if villain shove is better than so big over bet push.
