Hi, BU 36/21/ 14hands

Preflop should probably be a 3b for value, but I think calling is ok too.

Just c/r flop? I was a bit hesitant since the board was paired & I rep so little, so plan was to c/c flop, then c/c or c/r good turns.
If turn checks through & I miss I would lead most rivers.

Once he bet so small OTT I thought it was a decent spot to raise since he looks like he's block betting weakish pairs. Maybe 99 TT JJ, also some random air/draws which I can make him fold OTR.

Didn't think the Kh helps him often so decided to follow through with my bluff.
Looking back though turn is probably just an odds call

BTN: $20.58 (82.3 bb)
SB: $8.31 (33.2 bb)
Hero (BB): $33.07 (132.3 bb)
UTG: $21.86 (87.4 bb)
MP: $37.83 (151.3 bb)
CO: $35.21 (140.8 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A J
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.75, SB folds, Hero calls $0.50

Flop: ($1.60) 4 8 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $1.25, Hero calls $1.25

Turn: ($4.10) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $1, Hero raises to $4.25, BTN calls $3.25

River: ($12.60) K (2 players)
Hero bets $7.25, BTN calls $7.25

Results:

Spoiler

$27.10 pot ($1.22 rake)
Final Board: 4 8 4 Q K
BTN showed J Q and won $25.88 ($12.38 net)
Hero showed A J and lost (-$13.50 net)

Hi.

Preflop: Good to know his opening range from BU, and his fold to 3b. My gut tells me it's a 3b for value especially if this guy is a fish.

I don't like raising the Turn especially vs fish. What purpose does it serve? Do you think he ever folds QX here?

Fish mentality: Oh I have a pair. CALL

I prefer c/c Turn. Don't forget if he is barreling a draw, we have Ace high and that's the best hand. Hope he shuts down on the River and we will win the hand. If we hit on the River, I would lead about 2/3 pot and I think the fish will often call if he has top pair.
