What is the most EV+ decision preflop? I'm never gonna fold in this spot preflop obviously but i don't really like a shove cause i'm never see him call with JJ-.
So that leaves a call or a small 5bet to lure him into a call with all his bluffs and maybe even bluffshoving with em
I opted for a call with the plan to definetly fold on any A high board and prob any K high board and go broke on every other board.
As played it's pretty ok imo but what do you think about villain's line with hist 2nd barrel, and then folding with a small stack left?
As the hand turned out he obviously has air like AK but i have seen that play quite some times now, barreling with a small stack left. In effect he puts me for the same decision as when he would just shove, he puts me in a spot to decide for the rest of my stack since it appears i don't have any FE which makes his bluffs alot cheaper....
I wonder what the experience of others is with this play. The last time i came across this play i shoved with air and got a fold as well and i'm doubting if this should become a standard play on my part cause a shove doesn't have to work alot of the time and it seems they have a lot of air in general when they take this line
