Hand recorder for this hand: PokerStrategy.com SideKick 1.1.417.4

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q♥, Q♣
SB posts small blind ($0.02), BB posts big blind ($0.05), UTG3 raises for $0.20, Hero calls, 3 folds, BU 3-bets $0.55, 3 folds, Hero 4-bets $1.10, BU calls

Flop: ($2.87 - 57.40 bb) K♥, 8♠, 8♣ (2 Players)
Hero bets $1.40, BU folds, Hero gets uncalled back ($1.40)

-----

UTG3 was 12/10/0 over 59.
BU was 53/34/29 over 60 with AF of 8.

PREFLOP
Not 3betting as UTG3 seems to be tight. When BU squeezes and UTG3 folds I'm pretty comfortable I'm ahead so I 4bet for value ready to call it.

FLOP
He just calls so I'm cbetting 1/2 pot and giving him a chance to hang himself. Ready to call if he ships.
Wonder if check/raising would be an option given how aggro he is?

Hi Dawidas,

Preflop: I agree with your line here however your 4-bet size should be larger.

Postflop: As played I think I would try to induce something from BTN with a smaller bet, perhaps 1/3 of the pot. I think that betting small is superior to ck/raising.

Hi Bogdan

Thanks for the evaluation!

Yeah, I agree with a small bet. I keep forgetting these fancy plays when I need them :)

So the plan would be to bet small and call it off?
If he calls, I bet small on the turn again? If he raises the turn do I still call it off?
And then check/fold river? Or check/call?

Dawidas
