0,1/0,2 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.60 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is BU with 8♣, 8♠
UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls $0,20, MP1 raises to $0,40, 3 folds, Hero raises to $1,20, 3 folds, MP1 calls $0,80.

Flop: ($2,90) J♠, K♦, 6♣ (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($2,90) 7♣ (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $2,90 (All-In), MP1 folds.

Final Pot: $5,80

Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows a pair of eights (8c 8s)

Hero wins with a pair of eights (8c 8s)

After 2 checks of the French Villain, I decided to push because I think 2 checks and espcially after a check-behind of me, is extremely weak and he is basically signalling '''I don't got anything, please rob me!''.
Therefore I went all-in.

I do not really like to auto-push here on the flop with 2 overcards so I tend to play it differently with checking-behind and see what the turncard brings + he does.

should you have just called pre-flop?
but then I guess if you did the hand would of been played out differently, he might of bet on the flop/turn.

I might consider calling if I am on the SB/BB and see what the flop gives.

As I am in position, I rather want to be the Aggressor ;)

I would bet half the pot on the flop as the boards not too drawy if he has anything that would beat you hed call/ re-raise.

Edit: I think im off my rocker today didnt see your stack size earlier ignore this post.

If you decided to raise preflop (which be any means isn't wrong) than you have to come over the top on the flop as well. I see easy continuation bet here, why haven't you play one? (of course it'd be a push)

2 Overcards makes the % higher he has hit something? or am I wrong here that my pocket Eights is a trashhand right now and that I should check/fold ?

I needed that extra information but I also realize that I only wipe away the Jx hands..
