villain is an unknown, playing zoom....

on the flop i just cbet as usual, hits my perceived range, pretty dry and hard for him to have much so i expect lots of folds.

once he calls flop i was about to auto shut down thinking he has Kx but really i dont know any more. if he was OOP then ofc, but since he's IP is it ok for me to fire pretty much all turns? since it's such a dry flop he probably expects me to cbet my entire range and so its a good spot to float IP... do you think generally people are floating these boards a lot IP? enough to justify doing this vs an unknown with no info about floating tendencies?

even if he has JJ or TT for example he'll probably fold the turn since i almost always have Kx+ for barrelling. maybe the odd FD too but not too often.

also, if you do like 2nd barrelling here, what turns are you shutting down on and not firing?

Hi Lewis,

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: At 10nl people float these boards sometimes so it's hard to tell. However I do feel that if you bet the turn you have to fire a lot of rivers to put pressure on those middle pairs which rarely fold there.

However, i would prefer more equity when running bluffs like this because if you look at our hand we are in bad shape against his entire range.

Also, if you double barrel make it larger, you bet 2/3 on the flop and less on the turn, why? Keep it consistent.

interesting! thanks for pointing that out, didnt even realise i did that...

about having more equity, aside from FDs and SDs, you think having a gutshot is fine or even a weak MP that will be hard to take to SD (5 outs)?

Gutshot could be a good hand to barrel with, also mid-pairs are fine to fire.

A gutshot is better than what we have right now but having 5+ outs is what I'd look for. Gutshot gives you just 3 outs which is not that much.

The more equity we have the less FE we need to break even on a play.
