SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q♠ A♠

fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, BTN calls 3 BB, fold, BB calls 2 BB

Flop: (9.5 BB, 3 players) 4♥ 4♠ 3♠
BB checks, Hero bets 6 BB, fold, BB raises to 12 BB, Hero raises to 387.02 BB and is all-in, BB calls 64.04 BB and is all-in

Turn: (161.58 BB, 2 players) A♦

River: (161.58 BB, 2 players) 7♠

BB shows A♣ 4♦ (Full House, Fours full of Aces) (Pre 26%, Flop 71%, Turn 99%)
Hero shows Q♠ A♠ (Flush, Ace High) (Pre 74%, Flop 29%, Turn 1%)
BB wins 156.58 BB

I think I shoudlnt get it in, because I dont think he ever folds, and I am flip in the best case. So would it be ok to call flop, and fold turn unimproved? Or fold directly since I am drawing dead?

Hi GingerKid,

Fish do love to raise the paired boards and they can have lots of pairs here and occasionally worse draws.

I would prefer a smaller 3-bet if we 3-bet to give him a chance to make a bigger mistake. With the shove you are restricting his chances of making a mistake to just calling a big bet.

If you 3-bet smaller he now has the chance to ship himself, or just call the small bet.

However, since we have position we can just call and bluffcatch flop as well allowing him more room to make mistakes (and keep his range wider).
