Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BTN: 59.1 BB (VPIP: 32.14, PFR: 7.14, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 29)
Hero (SB): 242.72 BB
BB: 60.42 BB (VPIP: 20.00, PFR: 20.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 10)

CO: 815.58 BB (VPIP: 22.73, PFR: 19.32, 3Bet Preflop: 18.18, Hands: 90)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K♦ K♠

UTG raises to 3 BB, fold, CO raises to 9 BB, fold, Hero calls 8.5 BB, fold, UTG calls 6 BB

Flop: (28 BB, 3 players) T♣ 3♠ Q♠
Hero checks, UTG checks, CO bets 13 BB, Hero calls 13 BB, fold

Turn: (54 BB, 2 players) A♦
Hero checks, CO checks

River: (54 BB, 2 players) A♣
Hero bets 29 BB, CO raises to 93 BB, fold

CO wins 107 BB

I would 4bet even thought we are deep, because he can call with weaker, but here I call because I want fish in.

Is river bet ok? or ch/fold is better since he can ch behind Ax and value bet.

Hi GingerKid,

I think both options are fine. We should expect him to call with enough worse to make it worthwhile to 4-bet but then we scare the fish away.

We slowplayed our hand preflop and then we have the fish in the pot, so why not donk the flop to take initiative and try to isolate the fish?

I would prefer the donk here but as played our hand is rarely ever weak because we called a 3-bet pot and then a cbet 3-way with a fish left to act. So I think that our range in his eyes should be close to Qx+ (and draws). So as played bet/fold is fine imo as we will have pure value (in Ax) as well as KK and possibly KQ type hands.
