Hi GingerKid,

Calling here without fish behind and a couple of midstacks is a bit too loose for my taste.

What a weird line from UTG especially after he folds the turn.

He seems nitty overall so can we expect overpairs to play like this? I find it tough to believe so I may find a fold here with bottom set.

Once you call we can't fold.

What range did you have UTG on?

I put him on overpairs only. I dont think he raises with set, because he would just put me out of pot. Offcourse I cant exclude sets from his range but I think he just calls on dry board and traps with set. I think utg 3bet with overpair to isolate shorty, but when he realized that I call it was a clear set from my side so he gave up.

Yeh, that's possible but even with overpairs it doesn't make a lot of sense to 3-bet because again he puts us out of the pot with a lot of hands.

Regardless, I think that it's close imo but for sure if he bet the turn after the 3-bet i'd look to fold.
