Pre: as i said in the last hand. im working on defending more to 3b. A4s is in the suggested range from poker school 2.0 . but as a call. but since i have any information about villain postflop in 3b pots i decided to 4b. also my 4b size is quite small. i usually made it 2,5 oop and 2,5-1bb ip. but now experimenting to make it smaller ip.

Hey R,

Axs is a nice enough hand to also 4bet given the right situation. I think your sizing is fine really. 20bb with 100bb stacks is pretty standard 4bet sizing and allows for a wide enough range.

Postflop, it's based on his action, he can lead ofc since you are BTN. ♦

That said, cbetting flop and shoving turn is the way to go imo with NFD here... His range consists of hands like you said, you have FE and you have great equity too.

im really working on those spots at the moment.
can u say a bit more please about size ?
and also how i should play other parts of my range here? (value hands , pure bluffs) and what about AK ?

Basically you want the size small enough to still be perceived as a bluff. 20% of the stacks is usually OK and depending on how your range looks like, you can also go smaller if you 4bet for thin value with like KQs, expecting all sort of K8s to call.

Regarding your range, do you mean postflop, on this specific board?

First thing you have to think what is your whole range here.. Mine would be other suited aces, a few suited kings and TT+ usually, AKo, maybe KQo.

That means I would probably cbet close to my whole range, apart from complete wiffs like AKo, KQo, plus the board crushers like TT, AA and possibly KK, depending on my opponent's tendency. TT and AA is not vulnerable so that helps with having some hands to not snap fold when you check back. You also can still get it all in after you check since it's a 4bet pot. The rest of the hands would usually be a cbet. It's just an approximation, you have to think of your opponent as well. What I said assumes he 5bets his AK, QQ+ almost always.
