Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is MP with 9 :spade: 9 :diamond:
1 fold, Hero raises, 2 folds, SB calls, BB calls

Flop: (6 SB) T :club: 8 :spade: 2 :diamond: (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, BB folds, Hero calls

Turn: (5 BB) 8 :club: (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls

River: (7 BB) 6 :spade: (2 players)
SB checks (?)

what to do with this donk check? He could be going for a fancy x/r on the river or x/c having hit the 6, so this is a bet/fold I'd guess. However, I don't feel like folding 99 on this board, and I don't like bet/calling either.

Hi!

Line that I see valid are check or b/c. b/c when he takes a wierd line and everything is busted is not really what you want to do.

His flop raise can mean pairs(mostly Tx,8x,pockets,some 2x maybe) and draws(like J9,79,QJ and simmilar maybe) and some even raise Ahigh here.

Turncard obviously not the best so I would assume he still has bluffs(slightly less since Im sure on average he is checking some behind espcially on such a blank and pretty much all value hands.

His river check is wierd indeed. Vs anyone decent Im checking here. Its certainly not a spot for him to c/r since we are on Ahigh most of the time and also the way the board came there is absolutelly no reason for him not to valuebet any pair...so Im guessing he is just giving up with a bluff when for us there is no reason to bet.

Someone slightly worse though, may actually have some Ahigh,2x,low pockets here and he is for no reason scared now.At the same time he can indeed be c/r-ing but out of these two I would say that Ahigh,2x,low pockets are slightly more likely and I would really feel bad if I dont valuebet these....so I go for value and call when he raises. Certainly also take a note whatever he shows

easy bet. he probably has something like Ax or a deuce. donking the 8 is a fishes way of saying "please fold i got nothing" especially after he checks. 20% goes to a sneaky c/r and 80% goes to "i give up you win"

oh didnt see he raised flop..

id still bet when he checks river.

I totally agree with "20% goes to a sneaky c/r and 80% goes to "i give up you win" but that is not a reason to bet since vs any of these two actions there is no point in betting.

Better question is what is relation between sneaky c/r and hands we have value and since we are not playing b/f this should be around 60%.I doubt we do have such equity vs this range.

so dawn you mean we should check here. because either he calls / raises with hands that beats us and folding the hands we beat ?

Im saying its a though spot between b/c and just check. Its certainly not an easy bet since there are not really many logical hands that will take this line and now play c/c.

I personally would check here and take a note. Sure b/c cant be too bad either.
