65/35 6-max bubble Nash range question

I was using HoldemResources to look at the shoving range for hero's button micro-stack and it gave me some suprising results.

Poker Stars, $6.48 Buy-in (150/300 blinds, 25 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 3 Players

SB: 4,091 (13.6 bb)
BB: 4,395 (14.7 bb)
Hero (BTN): 514 (1.7 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BTN with 5 5
Hero?

In basic mode with FGS, the calculator says to open:
21.2%, 44+ A3s+ A7o+ K8s+ KTo+ Q9s+ QJo JTs
using advanced mode (without FGS) with "allow flat calls" also includes the rather likely possibility that both blinds will flat us and check down the hand. In that case the range tightens to:
14.3%, 66+ A7s+ A9o+ K9s+ KJo+ QTs+

It seems to be saying that there is very little equity to be gained from doubling up here, whereas there's a lot to be gained if the big stacks somehow are forced to collide.
So I guess I'm asking if this is really correct? Should we be open folding 55 here?! Maybe the tool is not up to this question until it can do both FGS and flatting in the same calculation?

Solid questions!

In game, I am not folding 55. ICM itself is tricky, but ultra short stack ICM bubble is prolly as bad as it gets. Anyway, what I will do in this spot is limp. If SB wants to iso against us-great, we get it to HU with a hand that has decent equity vs any range he has. If SB shoves and BB calls-we are already dancing around the room, cuz we have an easy fold. If SB calls and BB checks-then we are not folding any flop(unless SB ships flop and BB calls-very unlikely), but it's irrelevant cuz if we would have shipped, the result remains the same.

I also use holdem resources, the results that you posted are with 1 future hand simulated or more? And tbh- I am not sure what's the best range here. What's good is that those spots don't happen very often, so our overall EV is not influenced by them too much. I think you much rather spend time on spots like 20-30bb eff. steal-re-steal dynamics, or improving your postflop during the first 3 blind levels and 15-25bb eff. HU, stuff like this in comparison with trying to memorize ultra short stack ICM. Focus on what's you have to deal with many times you sit at a table.

I am gonna limp prolly anything decent closer to the first range than the second.

Awesome, thanks for the detailed answer. I didn't even think about open limping because it's something I basically never do but it makes a lot of sense.
I had FGS set to 1 round, but since you reminded me of that setting I tried it at 3 rounds and basic mode now shows:
32.9%, 33+ Ax+ K4s+ K8o+ Q8s+ Q9o+ J9s+ JTo T9s
I also tried another advanced mode without FGS but allowing limp, flats and open shove. It agrees with you. :) Limping 55 and shoving stronger.
