Hi.

Preflop: Any reads here? At first glance I think you should be calling instead of 3-betting to let the UTG fish in. But if you have reason to believe that UTG is a huge whale and will limp/call 3bet with a really huge range, then it's great to 3-bet here.

Turn: This is a pretty sick spot. It's one of those Turn raising spots where villain usually has 88 or 3X here. I think your Turn bet is a little too big so you are committed here. If you had bet 12, you would need to call approximately 28$ more to win a pot of 104 so maybe you could find a herofold here.

But based on the board texture I think it's a little hard to lay this down. If the board was something like K879 then I would prefer folding since he could have way more value combos like 77/88/99/98s/97s/JTs/56s.

What cards which we beat can call flop and raise the turn? Kx probably is not doing that often. Fds - dont think that there are any without a pair. And Kx + FD - he can easily call this turn. So pratically I dont see anything we beat, unlless spews. But we dont have info that villain is spewing money.

I agree that he doesn't raise the Turn often with KX. But he might.

We can all agree that we are usually crushed here vs his Turn raising range. But the main question is whether we have enough equity vs his Turn pushing range or not? We get 22.7/103.9 = ~21% pot odds. We just need 21% pot equity and the thing here is that

1. The board allows for very few monster combos. As I mentioned earlier, this board is much better for stacking off than on a more coordinated one.

2. You are committed because you bet so large on the Turn.

I like what mbml said. Sure most ppl don't play Kx or backdoor hearts this way, but you have to also realise that most people don't limp call 3bs preflop.

With that in mind I think it's basically what mbml said, if you bet smaller you can find a fold but betting so large I just don't think you can. Especially vs a whale who may feel like he just has to shove it in with his KJ.

Did not notice that. So then he is fish, of course he can do things which do not make sence and with pot odds its much easier call than it looked at first.
