Normal 3 betting range possibibly encompasses AQs+ AKo possibly 9's + or 10's considering how often he is opening.
On hero's 4 bet it wouldn't be surprising to see villain fold AQ+ AK+ and 9s 10s and jacks.
So for what we consider his 3 betting range to be (depends on how often he is 3 betting though to be precise) hero's 4 bet should fold alot of those hands most of the time, his fold equity is quite good.

Although if you would have called you would have position on him, I would only call if you have good skills to be able to not lose your entire stack later. He would probably raise around 3500 on the flop and at that point you just have trouble figuring out how you're doing and if you should peel the flop if he donk bets large.

Since i'm assuming Hero has no information on Villain, in my opinion the shove was fine, if you're prepared for losing your whole stack really fast or attain chip lead just as fast.

I don't know why we want fold equity with as strong hand as AK here.If we 4bet shove, he will fold all his weaker(AJ,AQ for example) and call top range.
However, if we call and hit an Ace/King, we are going to either get big pot or stack villian off in a really good situation where we are beating his kicker.
If we don't hit flop, large part of his range is PP's so we are behind them anyways.Sometimes we do get owned by AQ but you have position on him and can float, depending on villian, mostly they shut down with overcards on turn.

Also with calling there cannot be donkbet here, because donkbet means betting against initiative, but villian has the initiative.

If we get him to fold a few pairs then fold equity is nice tbh.

If his 3bet is 99+, AQs+, AQo+ and his 3bet/broke is JJ+, AK then we have a profitable shove, even with AKo, and a shove with JJ is losing us chips.

Also if we choose to flat, the only boards we are getting a lot of action on are A high ones.

I don't play much zoom so I don't know what people are 3betting with, but at these stakes I am happy to get it in with AK in this spot as even vs a tight range it is profitable. And sometimes you see some really crazy hands from villain here.

Depends on reads normally if you flat or 4bet. I don't like shove. I'm normally 4betting to 6k or something hoping to induce something! Flatting is also an option als you keep a few air-type kombos in!

Shove with aks should be def. +ev. but 4b/c is max ev or flat!

thanks you all for opinions! ♦ I played this tournament without tracker so i didnt have any information on him. I just wanted to bulid my stack very fast to feel comfortable on late game.
