Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.05(BB) Replayer
SB ($10.38)
BB ($7.73)
Hero ($6.30)
UTG+1 ($4)
CO ($2.18)
BTN ($4.96)

Dealt to Hero A♦ K♦

Hero raises to $0.20, UTG+1 calls $0.20, fold, fold, fold, fold

FLOP ($0.47) 8♥ T♦ J♦

Hero bets $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25

TURN ($0.97) 8♥ T♦ J♦ 7♥

Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $0.45, Hero calls $0.45

RIVER ($1.87) 8♥ T♦ J♦ 7♥ 3♠

Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $0.90, Hero folds

It's a FR table, 6 people were dealt cards (copied from HEM but positions appear a little weird...)
Anyway, my main question is about the turn. I have a monster draw and I think I should have bet again and try to take it there, but maybe the board scared me enough not to and try to see the river cheaper. How would you play that? Villain is 17/10/1.0 after 30 hands.

Hey D,

Your opponent should have raised hands like sets on the flop so he usually will have one pair hands or a straight. A straight would not always raise, plus depending on how big he makes it you can call. Most of his range being one pair it will fold. Given your equity and folding equity I like barreling here.

One alternative on such a draw heavy board when you are not percevied to have hit the board often when you check is to check/raise. If he doesn't bet IP, you don't mind seeing a card for free but if he does, you just use your equity to become aggressive.
