Flop - I assume he has wide range, so cbet there.

Not sure about turn. If he calls flop with A highs, then he can fold them on turn and PPs weaker than 9.

Hi SPeedFANat1c,

Preflop: thin value, looks fine

Postflop: This is a board i would not cbet versus because i do not expect folds and we need to barrel often, and we don't have much equity.

So in my opinion this is a bit spewy against your average fish.

I decided to check with equilab and see what could fold.

I need 33% fold equity on flop.

I give him aproximate preflop calling range vs my 3bet:

22+, A2s+, K9s+, Q9s+, JTs, A8o+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo

so assuming he folds air, one overcard, 22,33 its about 50%. He can call with AT, we cannot be sure but still its many folds and AT if he calls on flop, we have chance to barrel of on turn.

Sometimes on flop might fold 55, 66 or higher.

Plus sometimes he might have even more air in preflop calling range, whhich now has to fold.

WHat do you think about this?

First, I think the range you gave him is really loose and very optimistic.

You forgot the key fact that he raised preflop and then called. he doesn't raise all that junk that you posted there as most fish don't raise hands like JT or even 22.

Second a lot of broadways generally don't fold here and at best you fold some connectors and i doubt small pairs fold (if he even has them). Maybe on the turn but that's about it imo.

I did not forget. BUt its a minraise and I assume minraise is weak.

And also if I dont expect him to have wide range, then the qustion is - is there even value in 3beting. Even this calling rnage is slightly ahead if I remembver correctly. But I assumed I have FE somtimes preflop, somtiems postflop, so raised.
