BTN: $10 (100 bb)
SB: $8.29 (82.9 bb)
BB: $1.38 (13.8 bb)
Hero (UTG): $11.05 (110.5 bb)
MP: $21.16 (211.6 bb)
CO: $10.62 (106.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K K
Hero raises to $0.30, 2 folds, BTN calls $0.30, SB folds, BB calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.95) K 9 5 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.60, BTN calls $0.60, BB folds

Turn: ($2.15) A (2 players)
Hero bets $1.25, BTN folds

Villain is 20/14 over 45 hands.

Pre flop and flop is fairly standard imo. The flop kind of sucks because there's so little he can have, but I still think I can bet for value here.

The turn is possibly the worst card in the deck. Not in the sense that I'm worried about being beat, but because he's now just going to fold just about everything. Underpairs will just fold if I bet, if he had Kx he will probably fold now. So I'm pretty much hoping he has AK/99/55 when I bet the turn again.

Therefore, would it be better to check the turn and let him bluff and/or potentially catch up a bit? I think there's just not that much I can really get value from on the turn.

Also if we do check the turn, what's the plan after he bets? I would assume just call his turn bet, but then what's the plan on the river? Check/shove or lead out?

Hello,

I think check turn is a good option if we think he is folding pretty much anything. We are putting the money in against 99/55/AK anyways, so check/call and plan to check/shove river looks fine to me.

Best,
Plamen
