Hi, action vs a top reg that knows me very well (>5k sample). Think that 3rd was a random

I can't put him on a big hand when he overshove. It would surprise me a lot of if he shows 9T/AT, he'll bet smaller with those hands. I also don't put him on 2 pairs, he doesn't need to protect that much those hands considering the pot size. I don't even think that he's showing here a Kx often. Bigger Qx seems possible (only Q9 and QT though, he's 3-betting pre AQ), a draw seems very likely aswell.

Also if i fold i feel like i'm gonna be in a spot where he's gonna abuse me because of the short stack.

Is a hero call here an option?

Hey masfe!

I think i bet the flop bigger on this board. Its pretty drawheavy and villain can call a ton.

If you decide here that villain is able to bluffraise you here or semibluffraises you here and you call its strange to fold that turn. villain could use it as a scarecard + hands like 109 made the straight already an the flop and are def. not shoving here on the turn

The thing is there are a few qx hands in his range and also hands like k10 or kombodraws that he plays the same way...

With a shortstacked fish its imo a touch decision...

I'm probably folding here, but i'M anyways herocalling not to much hands!

I'm happy to have a nice discussion here... imo its not that easy ;)

I tend to avoid betting smaller or bigger vs regs. Thats why i went for my standard size.

Yeah there are. QT Q9 (AQ KQ 3-bet pre) and KT K9 (AK obv 3-bet pre), don't rly put him on <K7 based on pre-flop action. I'm still not sure if they shove here instead of betting 80-100k, but i guess it's possible.

You shouldn't limit yourself to a standard bet sizing for each and every spot. There are always boards that need a bit more protection then others do.

In this hand you should bet a bit bigger in order to generate fold equity. There are a lot of draws, midpairs and so on that will call a small raise size and get you into troubles on later streets.

You don't have to be concerned about balancing if you always bet bigger on wet flops while betting smaller on very dry one's.

So do we call the turn shove?

Shove seems like such an odd move for a big made hand, looks more like a FD.

If we have no specific reads on his action I would most likely just fold the turn. Don't see enough equity against his range which should consist of few flushdraws, several made hands and a few bluffs.

If you only consider chipEV the call might be slightly profitable. However, since there are 3 players left and one of them is short we have to take ICM calculations into account as well, which means we need a few extra % in order to call profitable (according to $EV). I don't think that we get the needed equity and therefore I would simply fold.
