Hi,

its Blaze poker so I dont have the HH, but the hand went down like this:

UTG unknown limps, folds to me in BB I raise w A2hh.

Flop KJ4r with one heart.

I think this is a good spot for 3 barrels on most runouts - hes gonna peel 2 streets with lots of draws like QT, gutshots (Q9, AT), weak pairs like Jx, A4.. and fold the river

Would you agree ? Thanks

edit: stacks ~110bb effective

Hi

I don't think so. 3-barreling with weak reads is just a spewy play in general. Bet once and hope he folds his low pocket pairs and suited connectors and AXs. Bet twice when you turn a flush draw.

Based on your logic, you need him to fold River an overwhelming amount of the time in order to auto-profit on your 3-barrel (my guess is that you need him to fold 60-65%+ of the time).

you are not even guaranteed that he'll fold his 2nd pair type of holding. He could easily be some sort of 40% WTSD monster whale.

Right, if he calls river with most of his Jx combos than its not profitable.

I just dont see even weak players calling 3 barrels with 2nd pair all that often these days, seems quite rare to me.

Maybe I am playing in the wrong games ;)
