Hi,

first i would puke when i would see this . He just doesn't have a boat here ever, even tough he probably has a 9. It's very close. I estimate you have around 22% with your hand vs 9xxx. But he might be doing this with something alse imo if he is a thinking player.

It's tough for me to agree that he is a solid reg when he does a play like this. It's close.

I think it's a clear odds question. Use equilab . I actually think it's a fold cause you don't have the 25%. But for metagame reasons you could make a call and get a really strong read with which hands he takes such a wierd line.

I don't get it. So his plan is to what, fold on clubs? With an SPR of 0,5? It's just wierd. He can't know you have clubs. You could have a lot of other stuff in your range as you are opnening from the BTN and getting great odds to call preflop. He could be making a terrible mistake by playing KK or AA here like this. Not to mention your range will also be a lot of 9xxx + fd type hands, so don't really understand him not going broke otf if he is willing to do that.

Do you disagree? I'd love to hear your opinion here

Well 58 bb's is too close to fold then. If we just give him a AA,KK like 10% of the time it's a clear call. Still the play is WIERD.
