Preflop: 6 max. I was raising to steal. no particular read on BB.
Flop: Wet board and BB led with half. I found myself with bottom pair.
His bet looked like a semi bluff to me. If he had something, would he not bet bigger in order to protect his hand with this board? My strategy to beat a bluff is call, hence I called.
Turn: Checked to me when flush did not complete. Why would he check if he had anything? There is no reasonable explanation. He must be on draw!! Strategy against a draw is bet and hence I bet. I also got lucky with 2 pairs.
River: Villain called big bet on turn and checked. I bear in mind my hand is vulnerable. Previous action suggested villain actually had a made hand on turn. No flush or double paired, my hand is likely to be ahead. Strategy against a worse hand is induce a call. River completes obvious str8 so I only bet 50%, in fear that he would not call had I bet more.
BTW this is my homework for Lesson 7 of the beginner course. For your comments.
