Lpish guy limps utg. I shove over him as the shorty a7. he calls kk and i lose. Is this a bad shove? I did have a note on him from an earlier game that he made loose calls to shoves but earlier in this game he limped utg and folded to my shortish stack when he had a big one, so i no hes limping really wide.

Even so is this still a bad shove? I did it because im the shorty and because of what happened earlier in the game, i figure im ahead of his limping range.

Hello sunchyme1,

Against a loose guy who limps a lot shove is fine. We got fold equity and a lot of money in the middle . It is important for him to limp a lot because if he is not that loose we are pushing against tight range and we don't have much fold equity so we are colliding too often and often against stronger range.
