I can't really 3bet for value pre and I would probably have to fold to a 4bet, so flatting looks like my best option

Flop texture is such that he is likely to continue with a lot of hands, a lot of them overcards, so I call.

Turn pairs the board and he fires again, I find the fold now.

Hello,

Preflop we could 3bet but it would be thin so I am fine with flatting.

Flop is borderline as we do have a player behind us, also there are a lot of bad turns.

Turn doesn't really change anything so if I call flip I would call turn as well.

This is a good rule of thumb, but how often can I really use it? And how far can I go with it (for example river pair the board again and he fires again)? Theoretically nothing changed, but for him to fire twice, his range gets a little bit narrower, right? Like a lot of people will cbet AK once and then give up.

Well, the thing here is that he is still betting 7x/88/FD, probably even some smaller PPs, and even if he gives up all his air hands, we can still call here although his range is narrower.
