It was the first time he had shoved over my raise. It was the hand directly after I had 3bet him preflop then cbet and taken the pot.
Sensible fold?
BB: 4,272 (21.4 bb)
Hero (SB): 9,228 (46.1 bb)
Preflop: Hero is SB with A
9
Hero raises to 400, BB raises to 3,972, Hero folds
Results:
800 pot
BB mucked and won 800 (400 net)
Hello slippyjim,
If he is 3-beting for the first time it is nasty but with the info for the last hand I would make the call. I'm not very happy to do it but his shoving range may be widen up a lot. Close situation and fold is also fine imo.
Against aggressive player it is easy raise/call.
