Can I 4-bet with QQ and fold at 2nl? I'm just learning cash game again after being breakeven a couple of months ago and switching to MTTSnG which I'm much more profitable at, but I really want to learn cash game. Guy was a known reg at the limit who was playing something like 12/9 if I remember right.

You can't really 4bet-fold because there's so much dead money in the pot. If you don't think SB would go all-in with AK, then it would be a good idea to just call the 3bet and try to hit a set. There would be 50bb in the pot before your call and you would only have to pay 10bb to see the flop. That sounds good to me, as the odds for hitting a set or better are ~7:1.

Hi,

If you want to 4-bet fold, then I would prefer going with hand that does not have so much equity- also I would never really 4-bet/fold half my stack.
As played: I think 4-bet/calling is fine consider all the dead money in the pot or if 3-bets mostly only mean KK+, then you can also just call pre-flop

Standard 4-bet bluff spot would generally look smt:
you open BU AT 3x, SB 3-bets 9x, you know that SB range is wide and he would fold to 4-bets, so instead of calling you make it 22x which you would fold if he decides to shove

best regards,

Sorry I forgot to mention my notecaddy said 3-bets 99 which is one of the reasons I did this, is that an acceptable reason to 4-bet here? obviously not as large like you were saying

Hi, if he 3-bets 99, then most likely he would also 3-bets with TT and JJ and he may get all-in putting you on AK, so I would be quite happy getting all-kin with queens.

best regards,
