The river is a total brick and Q9 is way too high in our turn barrelling range to consider folding. If he's got a K, congrats I guess

Is it standard to open raise Q9o from CO even if it's 5 handed?

Can we play check-call turn, check-call river in this spot? I understand it's passive and we give a potential free card, but this way we avoid the unpleasant situation when we get raised on the turn. When we bet-call turn, we represent some power and intention to go to SD and not many players would bluff that river.

I think against an unknown player I would check-calldown to get some information.

The thing is our opponent is looking to be loose passive so I wouldn't expect an exploitative check/call to work here

If we're talking exploitation I think he's pays us off much lighter than he bets on the turn when we check so, personally, I think it's a really easy bet.

And yes 5-handed I'd open Q9o here, the # of players preflop don't really enter into it, we're in the CO and I think it's fairly standard from there. It's the worst offsuit Q I open but I'd open it for sure
