river value bet?

SB checks, Hero bets $0.70, SB calls $0.70

opponent was 35/1/0.2 72% fold to cbet, but 43% wtsd

on the river is this a spot i should be checking back until i know he will def call with an 8x?
or should i just shove and presume with stacks as short as they are he will call with large range of worse hands

Hey riskcore,

Flop cbet is fine.

SB looks like he might be a fish, probably an ok spot to just overbet shove turn. We also avoid awkward river stack sizes this way.

As played it's very likely a river check. We can still be good a decent amount vs busted draws but these will never call a bet anyway.
