So you say we'd better fold small PP vs readless UTG raise, right? How wide do you assume UTG to be in this spot, smth like ~12%? Sometimes I see guys opening stuff like J8s, K9s, Axs from UTG, according to your words it's untypical behavior usually and so w\o reads it's better to fold.

So I have many questions as your observations seem to be sharper and more experinced than mine ♠_cool:

1) what do you call by default vs UTG raise, 77-JJ? Is there some stuff like JTs, T9s, AQs?
2) do you think it's ok at low limits to 3b QQ & AK vs readless UTG or better flat as not many worse hands calling or 4betting?
3) and if we have notes that range is wider, say 14-16%, can we call all PPs then?

I cannot put them on very accurate ranges, I agree some open weak hands like that but what I do know is that a capped sub-range will often be too weak even against that and this is not just because of the opener but also because of people behind. Fixing this is not so hard, I talked about it in my last live coaching: 3bet/fold strategy from MP vs UTG. UTG will generally have a solid range so you can't make money vs his open. What you can do is limit the money he makes so that it's distributed to you as well. I would usually 3bet like 60% of his opening range and if I don't have a certain range for him, I just go to about 7% range completely depolarised (yes, I include 88, AQ in 3betting range).

Answered before I think, main benefit is the others not playing postflop and you and UTG 'split the blinds' intuitively, not in actual practice but it's close to that. You have a strong range, he has a strong range, people need to have the nuts to take you out of the pot, else you and UTG split the dead money or you win.

No, a squeeze when you cold call MP vs UTG open still makes you lose quite some money. You have to be very very specific and accurate for having a calling range that contains 90% weak PPs.
